Accessibility

What we have built for, and how to tell us where we failed.

Our target

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means:

  • Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring that is never hidden behind a sticky bar.
  • Interactive targets meet the 24 × 24 CSS pixel minimum, and most are 44 pixels or larger.
  • Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its background; large display text meets 3:1.
  • All motion — the announcement ticker, scroll reveals, drawer transitions — is disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
  • Product option groups use real radio and checkbox semantics, announced correctly by screen readers.
  • Product illustrations carry descriptive alternative text rather than being marked decorative.
  • No CAPTCHA at checkout, and no cognitive function tests anywhere.

Where we know we fall short

The comparison tables scroll horizontally on narrow screens. That is a compromise we have not yet found a better answer to.
