5-year warranty

What it covers

For 5 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace any The Buddy Bags product that fails because of a manufacturing or materials defect under normal use. That includes:

• Zippers that separate, seize or lose their teeth
• Seams that come apart, including at bar-tacked stress points
• Hardware that breaks — buckles, hooks, cable locks, sliders
• Coatings and laminates that delaminate or peel
• Fabric that fails at a cut edge or tears without external cause

What it does not cover

• Damage caused by an airline, courier or baggage system
• Cuts, slashes, burns, chemical damage or deliberate damage
• Ordinary cosmetic wear — scuffing, fading, softening of the shell
• Loss or theft
• Products bought from an unauthorised reseller

The optional Gear Guard add-on ($9 at checkout) covers the accidental category above for three years from purchase, once per item.

How to claim

Email help@thebuddybags.com with your order number and a photograph of the problem. There is no registration card and no form. We generally decide within one business day, and we do not require you to ship the item back before we make a decision.

Our remedy

We will repair the item, replace it with the same item, or — if it is discontinued — replace it with the closest current equivalent. Where none of those is possible we refund the original purchase price. Replacement does not restart the warranty period.

Legal

This warranty is offered by The Buddy Bags and gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary by jurisdiction; nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights, including under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act in the United States or consumer guarantees legislation elsewhere.
